Our whole approach that week was about capturing the spark in the moment. We made sounds using our plugins or samples, Airdropped them straight to whoever’s turn it was on the decks, and they’d load it into Serato to lay down their interpretation right then and there. Forget long editing processes; Jean would handle quick chops and arrangements to keep the energy tight, and we’d move right onto the next sound or idea. The process was super collaborative – people would just jump on a track if they felt an idea, or tap someone else in if they needed a fresh take. It was all about that immediate, shared creativity.

Almost the entire thing went down live in LA during that week, though we did make one quick, essential overnight dash to Las Vegas to capture parts with the legend, D-Styles.
